Glossary To Help Professionals Master the Code

We had to "learn the languages" of the supply chain during our 25+ years in the supply chain.

We realized that thousands of professionals in the supply chain community needed to know these areas, after graduating with a degree in only one area. Therefore our desire is to share our knowledge, so other professionals can learn the lingo - but on a much easier basis. This is "why" we developed the glossary and this is "why" have it organized by categories.

We thank our contributors! Many have contributed to the glossary at IDII's request. Through these contributors and IDII's elbow grease - the glossary has expanded at a rate of approximately 30% every year!

In 2003, IDII released edition 1 of the "Glossary of Supply Chain Terminology".

In 2007, IDII released edition 5 AND the online Supply Chain Glossary at www.scglossary.com for full web access to this structured content. IDII is the administrator and publisher of this glossary.

In summer 2010, IDII will release edition 6 of the "Glossary of Supply Chain Terminology" - containing more than 6,700 definitions! Every year, the glossary expands with information that is important to supply chain professionals!
